I was going to let this go, but I just couldn’t.

One night I had had enough with my son. There have been problems for a while now, so I went online looking for someone who can counsel him.

I normally don’t deal with conventional therapy because I don’t believe in it (alternative therapy is the only thing that I believe works), but I was hoping I’d find someone who would do a sliding scale for me.

I came across 2 people in the Brampton area & decided to write.

It took me over an hour to give a brief (the long version would have been longer) overview out & edited & I was in that state of mind that clearly said “Help Me, I’m desperate here!”.

The next day  both people read my e-mail, but I didn’t get a response back.

I know it was the long weekend, so I made the excuse that this was the reason they hadn’t written me back. I’m the type of person who trusts people until they give me a reason not to.

Anyway, it took 5 days (yeh way too long in my opinion) for one of them to write me back.

This one above, Karyl Pope never got back to me at all, it’s now April 3, 2008.

While she says she doesn’t practice that much anymore, I had also asked for a referral to someone else.

I got nothing from her & this shocked me.

When a person needs help, the last thing they want, is to be ignored or forgotten.

Ignoring is one of my most pronounced triggers.

While I’ve moved on, I feel that so called counselors like this shouldn’t even be practicing.

I felt very hurt the next day when I didn’t get even a “As you know it’s the long weekend, I will get back to you, but it won’t be until Tuesday or Wednesday.”

Just thought people should know, as when it comes to getting help, everyone should have people who truly care.
